At 5675 metres, Pico de Orizaba (also known as Citlaltepetl - Star Mountain - in the Nahuatl language) is a dormant (not extinct) volcano that last erupted in 1846. It is the highest peak between Colombia and the Yukon and is the third highest mountain in North America after Denali and Mount Logan. Orizaba has permanent snow and a glacier at its summit.
