Every room has a view.  Some are beautiful and some are less so. All are memorable.  These photographs are views from the rooms that we have stayed in during our year-long trip.

Seat 8, Omnibus Cristobal Colon (OCC), Bus 1615, Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca to Mexico City.  CDN$59.58 per person per night (18 hour overnight bus).  July 1, 2008.  Note:  This photo was taken at “film speed asa 1240” through the tinted bus window as the bus was driving at about 100 Km per hour on Highway 150 in southern Mexico.  In the upper left of the photo is Pico de Orizaba, the highest peak in Mexico.  At 5675 metres, Pico de Orizaba (also known as Citlaltepetl - Star Mountain - in the Nahuatl language) is a dormant (not extinct) volcano that last erupted in 1846.  It is the highest peak between Colombia and the Yukon and is the third highest mountain in North America after Denali and Mount Logan.  Orizaba has permanent snow and a glacier at its summit.
