Room With A View

Every room has a view.  Some are beautiful and some are less so. All are memorable.  These photographs are views from the rooms that we have stayed in during our year-long trip.

Compartment 7/8, Train #84, Car 9, Cairo to Aswan, Egypt.  CDN$108.57 per person per day for an 8 day tour (including all accomodation, transportation and about half of the meals).  March 10, 2008.  Note: Funny story on how this photo was taken.  I was awaken at 5:45 am when the train stopped in this station.  The window curtains were opened and when I jumped out of the compartment bed I realized that I was only in my underwear and these three gentlemen were staring at me.  I closed the curtains and pulled on my clothes.  This scene would be my ‘roomwithaview’ photo IF I could take it.  I parted the curtains enough for the lens of my Lumix to peak through and this is the result.  This photo was taken through a tinted train window and has a slightly off colour.
